Project Work Packages (as in Proposal)
This section summarizes all Work Packages (WPs) from the DTO4OWE proposal. Each WP page contains full descriptions, tasks, and deliverables.
WP1 – User engagement and co-design of DTO
Objectives: Engage users, identify user needs, requirements and concerns in terms of data, products and DTO services to support decision-making for the OWF industrial sector and governmental supervisory agencies. Co-design data products and software solutions to address OWF requirements with stakeholders. Engage users in validating DTO4OWE data products and services.

WP2 – Data Management and new measurement
Objectives: Ensure efficient development, implementation, oversight and updating of the Data Management Plan (DMP). Build up a quality-controlled input dataset for DTO models, collect data produced in WP5, gather environmental and biological data provided by industry, and acquire new observations.

WP3 – Advancement of modelling tools for OWE
Objectives: Advance existing numerical models (including OWF wake, ocean–wave–ice, biogeochemical and ecosystem models) for evaluating cumulative impacts of OWFs, both for individual wind farms and large-scale OWF groups.
(Lead: FMI / Co-lead: HEREON)

WP4 – Data-driven models for forecasting, downscaling and data fusion
Objectives: Develop data-driven AI/ML-based solutions to generate reanalysis and forecasts with improved quality, resolution, and computational efficiency. Includes AI for local forecasting, downscaling, data-simulation fusion, and sea-ice impact emulation.

WP5 – Data products for ocean state and OWF impact assessment
Objectives: Provide data products to accurately estimate the present-day ocean state and assess OWF impacts in the marine environment for current and future climates at regional and sub-regional scales.
(Lead: SMHI / Co-lead: FMI)

WP6 – Demonstration and implementation of software and products for Focused Applications
Objectives: Develop the data visualization tool. Demonstrate the added value of DTO products and services for the OWF industry. Ensure the availability of data products and services after project lifetime.

WP7 – Project management
Objectives: Ensure successful delivery of the project results by setting up the management structure, coordinating project activities, meeting deadlines, and managing outreach and meetings.
